About
Education -1972 graduated from the Historical Faculty of Yerevan State University. In 1972-1974 he served in the armed forces. From 1974 to 2003, he worked in the national security agencies, where he rose to the position of head of the department. He holds the military rank of colonel, an honorary employee of the national security agencies of Armenia.
Since the late 1980s, he has been actively engaged in journalistic, literary and scientific activities.
A.Manukyan is a member of the International Union of Marine and Battle Writers /Moscow 1996/ and the Union of Writers of Armenia /2002/, author of numerous short stories and novellas, TV films and TV shows. His works were translated into Russian, Italian, and Kurdish, and published abroad. He signs his literary works under the pseudonym Arman Amrikyan. Author of 7 fiction books
He is the author of 6 monographs and 51 scientific papers. Since 1996, he has been teaching special courses at the EPI /Regional Strategic Problems and Armenia/, at the Academy of Government of the Republic of Armenia /State and National Security/, from 2003 to 2004. He was the head of the Department of Social Sciences of the Moscow State University of Economics, in 2005.- Head. Department of the Institute of Political Studies of the Republic of Armenia. In 1999, for his contribution to strengthening friendly creative relations between Georgia and Armenia, he was awarded the commemorative badge of the magazine,,Ayios Kartlos,,/Tbilisi/.
